Description
Location.
The Suncrest Hotel is located in Oawra, Malta, 100 metres from St Paul's Island, one kilometre from a sandy beach, and three kilometres from the Roman tombs of Xemxija.
Hotel Features.
This multi-coloured hotel curves along the line of the bay of Oawra and sits next to the Mediterranean sea. The hotel overlooks two outdoor swimming pools, and complimentary use of a nearby leisure and fitness centre is offered, including an indoor heated pool, gym, squash court, and sauna.
There are five bars and restaurants available at Suncrest Hotel. Tal-Kaptan Pizzeria serves lunch and dinner daily; Le Pavilion serves buffet dishes for breakfast and dinner, and It-Tokk restaurant overlooks the pool and hosts themed nights throughout the week.
The Suncrest Hotel offers a conference centre and three meeting rooms. An Internet cafe also has Internet connections for a surcharge, and serves snacks, coffee and cakes.
There is a separate swimming pool with a water slide for children, and a kids' club runs daily. A water sports centre and diving school is open during the summer months, and Reflections nightclub opens on weekends. Ballroom and line dancing are taught during the winter.

Expert Tip.
The Xemxija prehistoric tombs are rock tombs three kilometres from the hotel. When excavated the tombs showed numerous bones, pottery, shell buttons, and stone pendants, and represent an important part of archaeological history.

Getting there.
Fixed rate taxis run between the airport the Suncrest Hotel. Fares are between 12-28 EUR. Pre-paid tickets can be purchased from the taxi desk at Arrivals. The hotel can organise airport transfers for a surcharge. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around.
A network of buses connects Malta to the main resorts. A day bus pass costs 1.50 MTL. A car is recommended for exploring further afield. Gozo is easily explored by bicycle, on foot, or on bus. High-speed catamarans and ferries operate between Gozo and Malta (Valletta).
Driving directions.
From Malta Airport.
Take the airport south exit towards Qormi, the next town.
Turn left at Mdina Road towards the village of Zebbug.
Pass the outskirts of Rabat and Mosta towards Burmarrad and then going to St Paul's Bay/Qawra area.
