The Britania is a fully restored Art Deco townhouse hotel designed by famous Portuguese modernist architect Cassiano Branco, and located 50 metres from Lisbon's Avenida da Liberdade and less than a kilometre from the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, one of Europe's finest collections of modern art. The Carris AeroBus number 91 departs every 20 minutes to the city centre and to the Cais do Sodré railway station (journey time is about 20 minutes). Nearest stop to the hotel is Avenue da Liberdade (50 metres from the hotel). Tickets can be purchased on board for 3 EUR. Taxis are available from outside the airport, approximate fare is 16 EUR.
