Getting there.
Taxis are available from the airport's authorised taxi company, Touch Down. Travellers are advised not to use unauthorised taxis. The fare to Cape Town city centre is approximately 280 ZAR to Sunstays Lagoon Beach Apartments. Door-to-door shuttle buses are available, and can be pre-booked at arrivals. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around.
Trains and buses run throughout the city, but driving is the best way to get around. Many attractions are clearly signposted, however, parking can be difficult. Taxis are available but can be expensive.
Driving directions. From the airport, take N2 and follow signs to Cape Town and Waterfront, bearing right. At 18.5 kilometres, at the first traffic light, as you arrive in the City, turn right. Turn right at the next traffic light (50 metres). You are now on the highway leaving Cape Town with the harbour on your left. At 9 kilometres bear left at the sign - (N1 Paarl Bellville). At 2.9 kilometres take the second exit left at the sign "4 - Paarden Eiland - Minerton - Table View - West Coast". Continue and cross the railway bridge. Turn left after the traffic light at 7.6 kilometres. You are now at Lagoon Beach Apartments. The first entrance on the right is the Apartment entrance and reception desk.
